ClearPointe achieves Service Organization Control (SOC) 2 compliance. This report focuses on the controls service organizations have in place relevant to security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality and privacy.
ClearPointe’s annual SOC 2 compliance audit was returned with zero exceptions. “Strenuous policies and procedures are part of our culture, so while we are extremely proud of our SOC 2 audit, we also expect these high levels of internal standards,” said Jeff Johnson, CEO of ClearPointe.
SOC 2 compliance is governed by the American Institute of CPAs (IACPA) and is becoming the standard among technology companies especially for businesses operating in the cloud. “In our industry it is essential to have this level of compliance,” said Angie Harvey, Director of Operations at ClearPointe. “Security, privacy and availability are at the core of our company, and we work diligently to ensure these values are never compromised. Achieving SOC 2 compliance is a testament to this commitment.”
The SOC auditing structure was created due to the changing landscape of service organizations and specifically the increase in cloud based computing. The AICPA recognized the changes over the past two decades since the release of SAS70 and created the SOC framework with three reporting options: SOC 1, SOC 2 and SOC 3.
Harvey added, “We are continuously working to strengthen our people, process and security by adding additional control to ensure we provide a superior level of service to all our clients.”
